Anger Management and Relationships, How We Help

Programming

Programming is provided to increase a persons capacity to deal with life in a healthy manner:

  • Building Healthy Relationship Workshop offer and opportunity to increase awareness and understanding of the issue of intimate partner violence and develop improved coping skills to assist individuals to break a cycle of violence. 2x 8 hour days.  This program is offered in Westman and Parkland Regions.
  • Anger Management offers an opportunity to learn new skills, manage feelings of anger and appropriately communicate anger to others.  2x 8 hour days.
  • Youth Anger Management helps youth to develop improved coping skills, assertive communication and control aggressive behaviour.  Youth are provided the opportunity to learn new information, engage in group discussions and activities. 5x 2 hour sessions M-F.

This is a fun workshop focused on learning. Explore the roots of anger. Recognize your warning signs and learn ways to cope with anger and reduce conflict in your life.  


This is a two day program that is NOT coed. It is held in the John Howard Society of Brandon, Inc. building. 


We'll have the coffeepot on and we look forward to seeing you there!

This is an anger management program for youth that is provided in two different age ranges - 12 to 14 years old program and 15 years and over  program.

CROSSROADS (A POSITIVE LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM)

BUILDING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS FOR WOMEN

This program was launched beginning in January of 2020.  It is an eight-week program that examines such topics as:


  • Self-esteem
  • Crisis and Conflict Resolution
  • Stress and Anger Management
  • Communication Skills
  • Basic Living Skills such as Budgeting and Housing
  • Establishing Healthy Relationships
  • Problem Solving and Goal Setting


This program is runni on an ongoing basis so you can join anytime. Classes are expected to be offered in the day time and evening for ease of access and will be offered as a men's only and a coed group settingfor your comfort. Lastly, this program will run on a "passport"  basis where your passport will be stamped at the completion of each session. Once your passport is full, you will receive a letter of completion.
